Charito            Mertz

Charito Mertz was born in Cebu, Philippines and became a world traveler before entering the first grade, quickly acquiring the taste for adventure.  Her father, Nolito Jarina, searched for work as a Civil Engineer in exotic places like Australia and Nauru before settling down in the United States. Her mother, Marcela Jarina, found her niche in banking.

Growing up singing and dancing hula, Charito knew she would be an entertainer. As a teen she moved to New York to pursue modeling, where she booked national print jobs for companies like Target and Bank of America.  She then moved west to Los Angeles with her husband Luke Mertz, where she serendipitously found her true passion, acting. Charito now works consistently in TV, film, print and commercials. Her love for this craft continues to grow and has added writing, producing and directing to her resume.
